Finally Here!

You were born at 10:05am on Saturday, April 1oth at Olympic Medical Center. Mom went into labor around 11pm on Thursday night, contractions were 7-10 minutes apart. I couldn't sleep all night long! In the morning, I called the midwife who had me come into the clinic to be checked. I wasn't dialated very much so she sent me home to take a nap. Daddy took me to breakfast at Shirley's and I ate pancakes and biscuts and gravy to help me keep my energy up for the big day.
At 3am on Friday night, we went to the hospital when my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. I still wasn't dialated much so the midwife had me take another nap. Around 7:30am, I woke up and knew you were on your way! My contractions were VERY strong and when they checked, I was dialated to a 7! Not long after that, my water broke and you started your journey into the world! I took a bath to relax but couldn't stay in long because I started to push you out. Daddy looked very worried and told me I turned into a Rhino! You came out in 12 minutes and three pushes. The midwife said it was amazing because most first time moms push for over an hour! You wanted to be born so you could meet your new family!
I reached down an pulled you up onto my chest. Daddy cut the cord and spent a few minutes with mommy just admiring you and talking about how beautiful you were. It was the best moment of our lives!
Shortly after that, Aunt Lauren, Papa Craig, Grandma Julie, Grandma Sondra, Pops, and Great Aunt Marlene came to meet you! Daddy's best friend (uncle Jimmy) sent his mom and sister (Carol and Ann) to come see you and take pictures since he wasn't in town to see you.
The next day, we got to take you home. We stopped at Grandpa Steve's house which is the same house that Daddy went home to after he was born! When we got home, Lucy and Mace (your dogs) were there to meet you. They both got really excited! You had a steady stream of visitors for the next week!

Welcome to the world baby girl, we are so happy to have you in our lives!!

I try to imagine what our life is going to be like when you get here as well as when you are an adult and we are all anxiously waiting for your baby's birthing day. We have a lot to look forward to as a family. Your dad and I love you very much and are dedicating our lives to helping you grow up. Please hurry up and get here so we can start our new life with you. Love Mom
